Rescued Dogs Being Treated News | March 8, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy The 34 dogs seized from a Washington County man are improving, and may be offered for adoption. The Washington County Humane Society says the dogs taken from a West Bend man back in January are all eating and growing. Rescuers found the dogs, most of them Jack Russel Terriers, tied to trees outside. Investigators say they ate mostly pizza and one deer carcass. Their owner is accused of running a non-licensed breeding operation. The dogs still belong to the man, but the Humane Society says he owes 28 thousand-dollars for their care. If he can’t, or doesn’t want to pay that, the dogs could then be put up for adoption.
