There could be a new addition to the police department in Chippewa Falls.
The city’s police chief yesterday said they are looking to get a therapy dog. Chief Matthew Kelm says both Altoona and Eau Claire have therapy dogs, and he says they’ve been a success. He wants the dog to help in community situations, as well as to be a stress reliever for officers. The chief says he’s working with some groups to find the money to get the dog, and hopes to have some news soon.
