Transit Hub Apartments Roll Forward

Eau Claire is moving ahead with plans to build apartments over the transit center.

The city council last night approved an agreement to pay the developer five million-dollars to build 80 apartments above the still-being-built transit hub. Eau Claire’s attorney said the city had trouble finding a developer to take-on the project, so the five million-dollar payment was necessary.
