Menomonie Police Chief Speaks Out After Officer Involved Shooting

Menomonie Police Chief Eric Atkinson has provided details of a home invasion that led to a fatal January 21 shooting of a man by police. And he’s asking  two things of the community, for respect and consideration for those involved. 

Atkinson is also requesting privacy for the victim of the home invasion. The shooting by police is being investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Chief Atkinson’s video can be viewed on the Menomonie Police Department’s Facebook page.
