Clean Up Continues on Flambeau River

Most of the oil that leaked into the Flambeau River last November has been cleaned-up.

Dairyland Power Cooperative said  in a report to the state’s Department of Natural Resources that crews have cleaned most of the river that was impacted by the leak at the Dairyland Flowage Dam. Crews were able to take roughly  20 55-gallon drums of oil-impacted water out of the river.
