Wanted Subjects Lead to Felony Drug Seizure

On Monday, December 19, 2022, at approximately 2:15 pm, Lake Hallie Police Officers responded to the Hampton Inn and Suites, 12707 30th Avenue, Lake Hallie, for a welfare check of a male subject that was
unresponsive inside a hotel room.

Upon arrival, Officers observed two males and two females inside the room with inconsistent stories. Officers determined both males, identified as Glynn Garnett (42 years old) of Eau Claire, and Andrew Featherly (35 years old) of Eau Claire were wanted on outstanding Department of Corrections warrants. After Garnett and Featherly were arrested, a search of the immediate area revealed a small leather key bag with a vial of suspected methamphetamine and along with a syringe, small plastic baggie of suspected marijuana and a plastic bag containing approximately 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

A further search of the hotel room revealed additional small amounts of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scale, and numerous empty small individual plastic baggies. Additionally, officers learned that Garnett had an active warrant for Failure to Appear out of Eau Claire County.

Garnett was arrested for Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia, Possession of THC, Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Felony Bail Jumping, and one count of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

Featherly was arrested for Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia, Possession of THC, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Garnett and Featherly were transported to the Chippewa County Jail for processing.
