The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire sent its latest graduating class into the world this weekend.
In two ceremonies at Zorn Arena on Saturday, almost 700 graduates picked up their diplomas, while family and friends cheered them on. The class size was about the same as last year. It was a memorable college career for most of them — they spent most of their time on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We weren’t alone in celebrating the grads. Hundreds of students are moving on to the next chapter of their lives in Madison. The University of Wisconsin-Madison held their winter commencement ceremony yesterday morning, with nearly 13-hundred students receiving their diplomas. The school believes they will give out a total of more than 17-hundred degrees ranging from bachelor’s to doctorates during the winter.
