Wisconsin’s new head football coach is starting off with some ambitious goals.
Coach Luke Fickell yesterday said Wisconsin has the potential to play for a championship. Fickell spoke with reporters on his first day as the new coach. He didn’t get into the specifics, including what will become of interim coach Jim Leonhard. Fickell will be making seven-and-a-half million-dollars in the first year of his contract. That’s about a million-dollars more than what he made at Cincinnati.
