It’s a name that many Badger fans didn’t expect to hear.
The university yesterday named Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell as the new head football coach. Fickell was a co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State for years and won two national championships there, before coaching Cincinnati into the College Football Playoffs last year. Many Badger fans expected the university to hire interim coach Jim Leonhard.
