An Eau Claire man who stole a dog and killed it is heading to prison.
A judge in Chippewa Falls yesterday sentenced 40-year-old Joshua Erickson to five years in prison. He pleaded guilty in the case. Police say Erickson stole a dog named Kawani back in April. The dog was later found dead at the boat landing in the Town of Wheaton.
