On This Day

On This Day

Hello.

We are glad you are here. You likely noticed we are are waking up to chilly temps in our area today. Brrr!

The week can sometimes feel long or stressful-especially as we sink into the holiday season-so on Saturday’s we like to take time to start your weekend on a simpler note. This is a “scroll down memory lane.” It’s a simple look back at events that happened on this day in history before we head out into the day and record new events.

(And on the opening weekend of our gun deer season, here’s to a safe and successful hunt!)

Now, let’s scroll….

Today is Saturday, November 19th, the 323rd day of the year.  There are 42 days until the end of the year.

In 1998, movie director Alan Pakula died in a car accident in Long Island, New York at the age of 70.
