The report into the Henry Vilas Zoo says there was favoritism, but nothing illegal going on.
Retired judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn delivered her full report to the county board last night. She says she didn’t find any evidence of sexual harassment or retaliation. She did say that there was evidence of favoritism, particularly as the zoo’s numbers grew after 2018. Her report also suggests restructuring the zoo’s organizational chart in order to include zookeepers in more decisions.
