Surplus Bucks in BuckyLand

Wisconsin has set another record with its budget surplus.

The state’s Department of Administration on Friday said the state ended its last fiscal year, which ended in June, with a four-point-three billion-dollar surplus.  The DOA also says the state finished the year with a one-point-seven billion-dollar rainy day fund.  The big surplus numbers were driven in part by record high tax collections.  Those jumped five percent last year, which was one-and-a-half billion-dollars over expectations.
