Special Session Wraps Without Discussion

Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature quickly wrapped up today’s special session.

Governor Tony Evers called the special session in an effort to get lawmakers to pass a bill that would give Wisconsin residents the ability to vote on new laws, rather than wait for them to pass through the legislature.  The goal was to repeal Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban.

However, with the special session ending with no discussion, the law won’t be passed.
