Local Booster Shot Clinics Planned

Beginning Wednesday, September 21, there will be two walk-up vaccine clinics at UW-Eau Claire Water St. parking lot (101 Chippewa St., Eau Claire) for people to get the fall updated COVID booster that helps protect against the Omicron and original strains of COVID-19. These clinics will take place from 5 pm – 7 pm on September 21st and October 5th. Booster doses are free of charge and no insurance is needed.

Who is eligible for the fall COVID booster?
The CDC recommends that anyone age 12 or older plan to get their fall COVID booster dose. To
be eligible, you must already be vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax, or Johnson &
Johnson AND it must have been at least 2 months since your last dose.
First and second doses of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson will also be available for
ages as young as six months old.
How to get vaccinated:
Appointments are encouraged to decrease wait times and can be made at vaccinate.wi.gov or
by calling 844-684-1064. Walk-ins will also be accepted as staffing allows. Please bring your
vaccine card if you are able. Parking is free and available in the parking lot or neighboring
streets.


You can also get a fall COVID booster and other vaccine doses at the Eau Claire City-County
Health Department, area pharmacies, and healthcare providers. To find other vaccine locations
for first, second, or booster doses, visit vaccines.gov.
