A man is facing murder charges in a homicide case dating back to 1985.
Sixty-year-old Donald Maier will be formally charged tomorrow with first-degree murder. He is currently in a Racine prison serving a sentence for an unrelated stalking case. Maier is accused of fatally stabbing Benny Scruggs in his bed back on July 17th, 1985. Court documents state that Maier and Scruggs’ wife, Yvonne, had slept together and that she told him that if he wanted her, she knew how to get rid of her husband. Yvonne denies making the statement.
