Wisconsin will receive 14-point-four million dollars from the settlement announced yesterday with Juul, a leading maker of e-cigarettes.
A bipartisan investigation found that Juul dominated the e-cigarette market by appealing to youth in its advertising. E-cigarettes have been proven to be harmful to youth and it’s illegal for them to buy them. The settlement totals at least 438-and-a-half million dollars among 34 states. It also severely limits Juul’s marketing practices.
