The next green energy project in Eau Claire looks to be headed for the roof of one of the city’s fire stations.
The city’s capital plan calls for a new solar array for the roof at Fire Station Number Five. There’s already a solar panel at Fire Station Number Eight, out by the city’s airport. City planner Ned Noel said both projects will help Eau Claire meet its goal to be carbon neutral by 2050 and the city’s 100 percent renewable energy goal.
