Investigators in Madison are still working on most of this year’s waste, fraud, and mismanagement complaints.
A new audit, released this week, says 20 of the 46 complaints to the state’s Fraud, Waste, and Mismanagement Hotline are still under investigation, another 15 were dismissed, and just one was resolved. That complaint dealt with sloppy record keeping on a 19 thousand-dollars DNR computer contract. Auditors say those issues have been dealt with.
