Only one of Wisconsin’s Republican members of Congress voted for the plan to officially legalize gay marriage in the country.
Congressman Bryan Steil yesterday joined every single Democrat in Congress in voting for the Respect for Marriage Act. The idea is to officially rollback the Defense of Marriage Act, and legalize gay marriage to avoid any possible showdown in the courts. Wisconsin’s four other Republican congressmen voted against the plan.
