Milwaukee’s Republican National Convention could mean business for folks in Madison.
Destination Madison managers yesterday said they are already talking with convention planners about using hotels in Madison to handle the crowds in Milwaukee. Destination Madison President Ellie Westman Chin said there have only been a few conversations so far, but she said there are all sorts of opportunities for Madison. The Republican Party gave Milwaukee its initial nod for the convention last week, a formal vote is coming.
