The young man charged with damaging the statues at the Wisconsin Capitol during Madison’s violent protests of 2020 is not going to jail.
A judge yesterday instead sentenced 28-year-old Jacob Capps to three years probation. The sentence actually allows Capps to clear his record after just a year-and-a-half. Capp was one of hundreds of people who attacked the Capitol, he was identified as one of the statue vandals because of a distinctive tattoo on his hand.
