Milwaukee’s mayor is not declaring victory with the Republican National Convention, at least not yet.
Mayor Cavalier Johnson yesterday said Milwaukee is in a great position to land the 2024 RNC after leaders in Nashville balked at the convention earlier this week. In fact, Nashville’s city council president said Milwaukee is likely the favorite at this point. Nashville will try again with its convention bid in two weeks. Republican planners say they will decide on a host city in August.
