There are now formal charges in Altoona’s deadly hit-and-run.
Prosecutors in Eau Claire yesterday charged Brendan Barkovich with hit-and-run resulting in death, and possession of cocaine as a party to a crime. Police say he ran down a man who was walking along Highway 12 last Sunday. The judge in the case has ordered Barkovich to be held on 100 thousand-dollars bond.
