It will be adult charges for the teenager accused of opening fire in the Mayfair Mall back in 2020.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday ruled that a Milwaukee County juvenile court judge was wrong to deny a request from prosecutors to move the case to adult court. The teenager was 15-years-old at the time. Police say he opened fire on a group of people in the mall, wounding eight including four random shoppers. Keeping the case in adult court could mean 15-years in prison, while keeping the case in juvenile court could mean a misdemeanor charge.
