There’s a wrongful death lawsuit from a 2019 officer-involved shooting in Eau Claire County.
Tyler Meier’s family filed the lawsuit this month. They want police in Augusta and the sheriff’s office in Eau Claire County to pay for his death. An Eau Claire County deputy shot and killed Meir after he attacked the deputy. An investigation at the time said Meier shrugged-off a taser and pepper spray before being shot. Meier was no stranger to authorities, he served five years for murder in Clark County back in 2010
