The grandmother of the teenager accused of killing Lily Peters is asking the judge for leniency.
The boy’s grandmother wrote a letter to the judge in the case this week, she wants Chippewa County to try the teenager as a juvenile. He is 14-years-old, and is only identified in court documents at CP-B, but has been identified in various media reports as Peters’ cousin.
Police say he beat, strangled, then sexually assaulted Peters after she left her aunt’s house back in April. She was just 10-years-old.
