Not So PFast on PFAS Regulations

Not So PFast on PFAS Regulations

There won’t be any changes to Wisconsin’s PFAS regulations, for now.

A Waukesha County judge yesterday kept his ruling that the state’s Department of Natural Resources must work with lawmakers to set PFAS standards on-hold. DNR wants to be able to force companies to clean-up PFAS contamination near their plants or businesses. But Wisconsin’s largest business group, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, says the state must first define just what PFAS contamination is.

The judge expects the Wisconsin Supreme Court to take-up the case. His order is on hold until then.
