There is a new challenge that could keep one of the Republicans running for governor off the ballot.
A voter in Madison, with the full support of Democrats in the state, has challenged Tim Michels’ campaign paperwork. State law requires candidates to include their mail address on their paperwork. Michels is accused of listing his address in Chenequa instead of his mailing address in nearby Hartland.
Democrats say Michels is making election integrity an issue, and should follow election laws in the state. The Michels campaign said the challenge is ‘frivolous.’
