On Friday June 03, a bit before 8:30 in the morning a crash occurred on I-94 Westbound at mile marker 27 near Wilson.
The crash involved injuries.
State Patrol Troopers and St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to a SUV vs. Semi crash on I-94 westbound in St. Croix County. Traffic was being reduced to one lane due to road construction and the SUV ran into the back end of the semi-trailer, driven by 59 year old Sheryl Ann Hackel of Chippewa Falls, going underneath it, causing it to be pinned.
The driver, 55 year old David Edward Searles of Eau Claire, had to be extricated and transported by helicopter to Mayo in Eau Claire. Speed and inattentive driving may be contributing causes of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
