Inheritance Tied Up in Murder Case Arguments

The daughter of the couple murdered at the UW Arboretum may have to fight for her parent’s money.

Miriam Carre is Doctor Beth Potter and Robin Carre’s daughter, she was also the girlfriend of the man who shot and killed them back in 2020. She is named as the beneficiary in their will, but a family friend is challenging her inheritance.

Miriam Carre testified against her parents’ killer at his trial, and was granted immunity. But the family friend says she stood to gain from her parents’ deaths, and played a role in their demise. The case is in probate court, there’s no word just when a trial may begin.
