After a weekend that saw 16 people shot, including two teenagers who were killed, Milwaukee leaders are looking to gun locks to stop the violence.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and the city’s Office of Violence Prevention held a news conference yesterday to remind people that there are free gun locks available to anyone in the city. The thought is that gun locks make stolen guns tougher to use, and that having to remove a gun lock may give people more time to calm down before pulling the trigger out of anger.
