The State Supreme Court justices have several options before them as they redraw Wisconsin’s legislative maps.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday threw out those maps and now, the state Supreme Court must draw a new map by April 15th, so election officials can know the boundaries as candidates file paperwork for a place on the ballot.
Among their options they can consider is to reapprove Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ maps, keeping a close eye on the Voting Rights Act. They could also abandon those maps and use maps drawn up by Republicans.
