Almost every business in Wisconsin has seen a problem with either inflation or supply chain issues.
The state’s largest business group, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, yesterday released its latest Employer Survey. It says nearly half of businesses in Wisconsin have seen prices rise more than 10-percent and one in five of those companies have seen prices jump by more than 20-percent. In addition, 98-percent of businesses in Wisconsin say inflation has driven their costs up, and 82-percent of businesses in the state say inflation has hurt them. Ninety-three-percent of businesses have seen costs increase because of supply chain problems. While another 48-percent said they had to turn down orders, and 12-percent canceled product lines because of supply chain issues.
