At approximately 10:47 am on February 11, 2022, the Rice Lake Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 623 Phipps Avenue in the City of Rice Lake.
Upon arrival of the first fire department found a residential structure with heavy fire at the rear of the structure. The fire was contained to the back porch and the kitchen area with the rest of the home receiving major smoke and water damage. The fire was placed under control at 11:37 am.
All fire units were placed back in service at 14:00 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. An initial damage estimate for the structure and contents is placed at $150,000.00.
The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
