The young man convicted of shooting and killing another teenager at the Fox Valley Mall is heading to prison for four decades.
A judge yesterday sentenced 18-year-old Dezman Ellis to 40 years in prison for last February’s shooting. Investigators say Ellis shot Jovanni Frausto because of a fight over Ellis’ girlfriend. The shooting touched-off a statewide manhunt for Ellis who was eventually found in Iowa. Ellis apologized in court before his sentencing.
