The people who were ordered-out of that Waukesha condo building back in December are appealing the city’s order that they pay to tear the building down.
Owners of the Horizon West building say they cannot afford the cost. The city of Waukesha evacuated the building back in December after finding damage that inspectors said was serious enough to bring the building down. Last month Waukesha issued a raze order which means the building must come down, or the city will tear it down and charge the owners the cost.
The building’s owners have hired a lawyer, and are talking about the next steps.
