New UW President Picked

It’s going to be the summer before the University of Wisconsin’s new president takes over.

Regents on Friday named Milwaukee attorney Jay Rothman as the UW System’s next president. He is the school’s eighth president, and will replace Tommy Thompson who announced his retirement earlier this month. Rothman is the CEO of the law firm Foley & Lardner. He will make 660-thousand-dollars a year as UW President.
