WI Tackles Teen Jobs

Governor Tony Evers will decide if younger teens can work more in the state of Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Assembly approved a plan yesterday that will allow 14-and-15-year-olds in the state to work until 11 p.m. on any night that they don’t have school the next day.  Currently, the law sets hours based on a summer and rest-of-the-year schedule.  Younger teens can work until 9 p.m. in the summer, and until 7 p.m. during the school year.

Some Republicans and Wisconsin’s restaurants like the changes, labor unions in the state do not.
