Lace Up! Local Rinks Open

Eau Claire Parks, Recreation & Forestry is pleased to announce that a number of its outdoor ice-skating rinks and warming shelters are opening for the season!

The following rinks and warming shelters will be opening for the season on Thursday, December 30, 2021. General skate and boarded hockey rinks are available at both of these parks.


• Roosevelt Park rinks and warming shelter are located at 908 Folsom Street


• Putnam Heights rinks and warming shelter located at 530 W. Tyler Street


Warming shelters at Roosevelt and Putnam Heights are open December 30 through January 2, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning January 3, 2022 regular warming shelter hours will be Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.


The following will open for skating when the rinks have been fully prepared for use.


• Boyd Park rink located at 1202 Fairway Street.


• Pinehurst Park rink located at 3523 Delbert Road. While the rinks at Pinehurst are not yet ready for use, the warming shelter will be open and gear share will be available beginning Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Face coverings are required inside all warming shelters and if you are not feeling well please stay home.
