Investigators say the Milwaukee County employee fired for taking bribes admitted that she took money to erase people’s child support debts.
The county agreed to fire 45-year-old Daneen Pope following her arrest back in September. Prosecutors in Milwaukee are currently mulling charges. Investigators say she took hundreds of 50 dollar bribes to erase thousands of dollars in child support liens. Pope says her county salary of nearly 40 thousand-dollars wasn’t enough.
