It’s a year’s worth of probation for a former Chippewa County priest accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
A judge yesterday sentenced former McDonell Area Catholic School Chaplain Father Charles Richmond to one year of probation. He’s not allowed to have any contact with girls under 18, but he will not have to register as a sex offender. A former student accused Richmond of abuse. He pleaded no contest last month to a misdemeanor fourth degree sexual assault charge in the case.
