Stanley Hit Hard in Overnight Storms, Daylight Brings Damage Assessment

Stanley was hit hard and in the day light hours we will have more details.

We are waiting to see just how much damage the overnight winds brought to western Wisconsin. Forecasters say strong winds rolled across the area last night. There are a handful of storm damage reports.

As of now, we have word that officials are asking people to avoid coming through Stanley. If you are interested in helping in clean up efforts, they will be meeting at 8am at the Community Center. Best way to get there is take County Highway G to County Highway O.

The high winds blew through with a cold front that will push today’s temperatures back into the 20s.

 Forecasters say 60-mile-per-hour winds ripped across the state last night and early this morning. Tens of thousands of people across the state lost power because of the winds. As the damage assessment continues, we will get an idea of the scope of property damage. There are no reports of any serious injuries.
