There could be as much as a foot of snow on the ground in Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley by tomorrow.
Western Wisconsin is bracing for its first major winter storm of the season. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from noon today til tomorrow morning. Forecasters say the worst of the snow will fall later tonight. Authorities are telling people to stay and home, and not to travel once the snow starts.
