The boyfriend of a missing southern Wisconsin woman is in jail in Illinois, but not for her disappearance.
Deputies in Stephenson County, Illinois say Derek Hammer is being held on 200 thousand-dollars bond on a marijuana possession charge. Investigators in Green County, Wisconsin want to know if Hammer had anything to do with the disappearance of Melissa Trumpy. She’s been missing since Halloween. Both she and Hammer are facing drug charges in Wisconsin. Trumpy’s family fears he did something to her to keep her from testifying in the case.
