Waukesha Mourns, Observance Planned

Nine victims of the Waukesha parade attacker are still recovering in the hospital.

Yesterday one patient was released to continue recovery at home leaving nine juvenile patients still in Children’s Wisconsin.  Four of those still in the hospital are in serious condition.  Six people have died and more than 60-others were injured when the driver of a vehicle plowed his way through participants in a Christmas themed parade a week ago today in Waukesha.

Today, city council members will be in neighborhoods handing out blue light bulbs for community members to turn on in their homes the rest of the holiday in a show of solidarity.

City leaders in Waukesha call on the community to follow observances in honor of the parade attack victims.

On Sunday, Mayor Shawn Reilly and city council members will hold a moment of silence at 4:39-p.m.
