Big cats, apes, and the otters at the Milwaukee County Zoo are going to be the first to get the coronavirus vaccine.
Zoo managers say they will vaccinate about 50 animals, starting next week. There haven’t been any positive cases among the animals at the zoo, though zookeepers say it’s possible. The Milwaukee County Zoo has over two thousand animals, so the 50 is just a tiny percentage. The hope is to have the first 50 animals vaccinated by the end of the year.
