A Republican in charge of one of the investigations into last year’s election in Wisconsin says the state’s elections chief misled lawmakers.
State Representative Janel Brandtjen yesterday said Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe told lawmakers back in August that the commission had conducted audits designed to weed-out felons and dead people who should not be on the state’s voter rolls.
It turns out, Brandtjen said, that those audits were incomplete or never finished. Brandtjen says Wolfe either intentionally misled lawmakers or is incompetent. Many Republican lawmakers are calling for Wolfe to resign.
