The Badger State is home to 41 of the 50 “drunkest” counties in the U.S.
According to a survey conducted by 24/7 Wall Street, Wisconsin had four times as many counties listed in the Top 50 than all other states combined. The survey ranked each county by their excessive drinking rates, which included adults who either binge drink or drink heavily. Going down the list, Badger State counties filled the top eleven spots. In fifth place was Polk, followed by Pierce County, then Walworth and Calumet.
The winning title for the number one “drunkest” county in the U.S. went to Outagamie County, with an excessive drinking rate of 31-percent.
