Push for Lawsuits Against Maskless Schools

Schools across the state that don’t require their kids to wear masks in the classroom could soon be facing a lawsuit.

Kirk Bangstad, who ran for state Assembly and lost last year, is looking into suing schools that allow students to choose to wear masks. He says the suit falls under Wisconsin’s public nuisance laws. Bangstad owns The Minocqua Brewing Company and has a super PAC for the effort. Bangstad said his goal is to get a judge to issue an order that forces all kids in the state to mask-up until more data can be collected.
